Mark Abram Ruttner

Managing Director

He is recognised as one of Melbourne’s leading mortgage valuers, property advisors and advocates in relation to Residential and Commercial real estate property. In his role as Managing Director of FVG, Mark works closely with major financial institutions, private clients and client based consultancy organisations.

Specifically, his career and academic records are as follows:

• Founder of First Valuation Group.
• Joint Managing Director of Domain Property Valuations Pty Ltd.
• Development Company – Commercial / Industrial. Inducom Developments.
• Property Finance and Development section of Elders IXL.
• Jones Lang LaSalle which also incorporated a period within their Investment Department with focus on corporate and private base investment clientele.
• Holds an Associate Diploma in Valuations from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
• Best final year student Valuation Practice B – 1985.

Jim Derzekos

Director

His particular area of expertise is in the area of valuing and advisory of sub $10 million commercial, industrial and retail properties, as well as specialising in rental determinations and representation for both Lessors and Lessees alike, as well as the REIV and Small Business Commission.

Jim commenced his career at Arthur Andersen in the area of Valuation and Advisory services specialising in commercial real estate throughout Metropolitan Melbourne. On becoming a Certified Practising Valuer at Domain Property Valuers, a boutique valuation firm specialising in mortgage valuations, Jim developed a fundamental working knowledge of the commercial, industrial and retail real estate markets in Melbourne. 

As a Director of FVG, Jim undertakes and supervises a wide variety of valuations and consultancy assignments with a particular emphasis on commercial real estate property and rental determination/advisory representation.

Carl Tamos

Residential Property Valuer

Carl began his career in real estate being a Buyer’s Agent in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne prior to attaining his Master of Property. He then commenced his career as an Assistant Valuer at FVG specialising in residential, commercial, industrial and retail properties sub $10 million throughout Metropolitan Melbourne.

After successfully achieving his Residential Property Valuer with the Australian Property Institute in 2020, Carl continues to gain knowledge within the commercial real estate segment to achieve his next goal of becoming a Certified Practising Valuer.

Academic Background and Affiliations:

• Master of Property – RMIT University
• Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology and Sport Science) – Swinburne University of Technology
• Certificate of Achievement – Highest GPA in Master of Property (2019)

Jackie Guo

Assistant Valuer

In her role as an Assistant Valuer, Jackie is assisting with valuations of residential and commercial properties throughout Metropolitan Melbourne. Her passion for property valuation has motivated her to attain the necessary experience to gain the status of Residential Property Valuer in the short term.

Her academic records are as follows:
